I have been seeing Dr. Mary C. Melancon for 4 years, she conducted and ordered some tests but over looked ordering an MRI for my persistent systems. Despite my repeated complaints about my very painful menstrual cramps for about 4 years or more, the MRI that could have revealed my condition was never ordered. Now I have been diagnosed with stage 4 of Leiomyosarcoma as of September 2026. I was very impressed with Dr Melancon and I’m a nurse and a hard sell. This was the first time I have seen her. She had clearly reviewed my medical record thoroughly before coming into the exam room. She was very thorough in all aspects of the physical exam. She is pleasant with a great smile and very professional. I could not have been more pleased.
