Was struggling for awhile to find a great shop in Portland after being used to the shops in my hometown back in MD and I found it! Killer artists, great atmosphere, friendly people, what more could you ask for??? Martian Arts is the bees kneeeeeesssss. Will be back so many times they’ll be annoyed with me.
Joanne and Jerry are the most amazing people - Joanne is my artist. I absolutely cherish the art work she has created and tattooed on me. Her line work is beautiful. I have gotten several tattoos here and have never had any healing complications.very clean establishment.
Had two white ink tattoos done by Thor. Love them both and the color has held up beautifully- very delicate and well done. Couldn't find ANYONE in KCMO who would do white ink for me, so I was so excited to find this shop while on vacation. Ended up going back 2 years later and got another one done while I was there! Highly recommend!

Today, I got my sixth tattoo from Martian Arts (5 by Jerry and 1 by Joanne). I went in only expecting one tattoo to be done, and Jerry made time for the second tattoo I had been wanting. They have worked really well with me. I give them an idea of what I want and ask them to add their own touches and the end piece has never disappointed! I go back and forth between what they have came up with and what I’ve sent them, and their art turns out 10x better than I expected. Thank you for being you and making me feel so welcomed!
