Was very uninterested in important background genetic and medical information. Spent no more than 5 seconds glancing at a painful and suspicious (based on medical indicators) mole that had me concerned and told me it was not a problem and was already walking out the door. Didn’t look at anything else, including another mole only a few inches from the suspicious one.
My first time to see Dr. Hickman I waited close to an hour to be taken to an exam room. The nurse gave me a gown to change in to and a blanket. I did like that the doctor wore goggle type glasses which I thought perhaps magnified what she was looking at. She checked my scalp and then the rest of my body. I’ve never been checked so quickly. I didn’t even have time to cover up. The gown and blanket were in a bundle on top of me. I really don’t know how she checked everywhere.
First time patient wanting some help with my sebaceous hyperplasia. Dr. Hickman basically brushed me off. No help at all. She referred me to another doctor for laser resurfacing. Did not even suggest there was something she could do to help. I felt like I just wasted my money and time. No cautery, no retinol, no in office treatment even suggested, just go see another doctor. I thought that is why I was there for her help. So disappointed in this place. Will never recommend this place.
Dr Hickman had extremely poor bedside manners. She immediately prescribed me with eczema without asking about products/medications I had used before and my medical history and left quickly. Was very inconsiderate and will NOT be going back.
Poor bedside manner. Does not listen or hear what is being said. Not interested in medical history. In a hurry.
Dr. Hickmann gave me the cream doesn't work for my skin problem and make it becomes worse. And didn't explain medical conditions, left fast.
Dr Hickman might be a good Dermo Dr. But her bedside manor is horrible. I don't know why anyone would pick her for treatment. It's as if I were invisible. When there was an issue with side-effects of my daughter's medicine, she referred me back to my primary care physician to 'handle that'. When she was finished talking, she simply walked out of the room. She didn't say thank you, she didn't say goodbye, nothing. Door closed. (as others said, the office staff is nice)
called and fitness an appointment 3 months out. Showed up and was told my appointment was at the other office. I would not have made one at the other office as it is not close to my work. The lady at the front desk argued with me as to whose fault it was. Finally saw Dr. Hickman.n and she was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Didn't check all the spots I wanted her to. Absolutely zero personality. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know to not see Dr Hickmann.
Great office and doctor. She is quick and efficient in her diagnosis. Would recommend.
