Went to this facility several years ago and I was very hesitant to enter treatment. It almost always felt like the counselors had their favorite patients and it showed. The website explains they help with emotional regulation but are constantly making you feel so much shame for being an addict. They treat you like you are always lying or a criminal. They have no outdoor or extra curriculum activities. It’s just therapy and meetings 24/7. They mention spirituality on the website but when I attended that just meant mandatory S... read more

I actually waited years to post this because of the trauma this facility has caused me, and I went there almost a decade ago. Wouldn't drop $20k to come here unless you're a masochist. MARR settled on a 77 million dollar lawsuit after one of their patients died because they wouldn't discharge him with his medication. They are financially manipulative and their staff are poorly trained. Their philosophy seems to be "healing through shame", when shame is one of the root causes of why people drink and use in the first place. Th... read more

This place is a joke, it's all about the money. My daughter paid cash for the program up front I might add. And a ridiculous amount of money. Very unprofessional tactics and shaming, the counselor yelled in her face, in the unproductive one family counseling meeting that we had to hound them for, if she didn't stay in their sober living how she was going to fail. After she completed her program. Which she did! I believe this played a part in her relaps, when I called them back 3x they never returned my calls. I don't know wh... read more

My girlfriend and her son, went to MARR. Seemed OK at drop off She later called me to come get her. She had no power for 2 days, their food went bad, they didn't tell her about a family emergency"about her other son took to hospital",she was housed in the worst drug area in Atlanta. Staff lied to me multiple times. For a State Funded program they need to really look at the safety and well-being of the ones going here. About to go to news with this. We have photos and videos.

I highly recommend MARR Women's Recovery Center. I am going on 15 months sober and have hope today because of this program. MARR's community model treatment program & townhome living brought me out of isolation, where I'd been for years, and gave me a safe/loving place to practice the tools I needed to live & stay sober. I now have a network of women that I can call/hang out with at anytime. The staff is knowledgeable about the disease of addiction and incredibly supportive of each client and their family members. Thanks to ... read more
