Their wonderful food and the staff.
Salmon, calamari and chocolate soufflé was very good! We are from out of town and didn’t know for sure where to go for a nice romantic dinner. We will definitely be back! This was the best meal we’ve had in a long time.
Always an amazing dinner experience
We have been to Mark’s several times. The food is consistently delicious. It is always well thought out and prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is lovely. If you haven’t tried that chocolate soufflé, you really should! But order it first thing you are seated; it is the real deal and takes 45 minutes to prepare. This time ai had the Creme Brûlée, another favorite. It was light and very well done.
I have lived in Greensboro for seven-plus years and dined at Mark's Restaurant for the first time this evening, and I can say, unequivocally, that this was the best dining experience during my time in Greensboro. I shared the ostrich and also the scallops appetizers, I had the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese and asparagus entree, and also sampled my wife's veal chop entree, and it was, by far, the best food I have enjoyed in my time in this city. Mark’s is my favorite restaurant in Greensboro. Mark excels at it all, but especially the most important details—like sauces and creative combinations. Get the seared ostrich plate with the sweet corn red pepper flan; I’ve ordered it every time it’s been offered, and it’s always awesome. Tonight he had a red wine ice cream that was perfect—almost tannic, like a rose, at the start, but with this brioche-and-cream end. He’s so seriously into his work, and every dish he makes shows.
I had the tenderloin filet and my husband had the duck. Both were awesome and the chef came around to check on you and the waiter was awesome. Best food and service you could ask for.
Food was very good. I had the grilled shrimp with lobster ravioli and my husband had the duck entree. The only thing I ordered that I had to send back was a blueberry Mojito. It was really a bad taste.
