Extremely disappointing The food and service seems to have gone downhill this year. I've been to Marks for dinner twice in the past month with friends. Both times we were all very disappointed with our meals, even a simple burger. One friend ordered the chicken in confit and was sick all night. On service, last time we had to ask for a glass 3x. I ordered tea with my meal and was never offered more hot water for a second cup. The menu said the cioppino came with croutons. When it arrived with lots of broth (very little seafo... read more
Good river dining This is river dining that is good. The prices are a little spendy for just a regular night out. It would be to your advantage if you are going here during the busy summer season that you make reservations.
Enjoy the river, enjoy the dining! This is a nice little restaurant with quite decent food at moderate prices, but the location makes it incredible! You drive down a small road to this tiny marina, and --right on the water -- in a converted houseboat -- is this really great restaurant! I had no idea there was any place like this so close to Portland. RIGHT on the river -- the Sauvie Island Wildlife Refuge on the other side. Eagles, herons, cranes! And so quiet and peaceful. A short drive from town. A great destination for di... read more
Barb R My fav hangout in this area. Nice water and Sauvie Island views. Great NW cusine. A must try for someone who enjoys extraordinary sauces and seasonings.
We've been going to this restaurant since it opened & were sadly dissappointed when we re-visted this last weekend. The service and food was terrible! Definitly not up to standard for this type of venue or from what we've experience in the past. We live in the community and asked a few of our friends how there experience has been, & there experience was similar & won't go back. We ordered the ribeye steak and mahi mahi, both were pan fried & looked like something you would get at a Denny's restaurant. The ribeye was thin and... read more
Absolutely the best upscale comfort food in the Portland area! From gourmet meatloaf with roasted potatoes and bacon jus to White cheddar mac and cheese with truffle oil crumbles and perfect crispy turnips, this place is awesome. They also have oysters four ways for an appetizer with Patron topped shooters on the list. Eating on the deck with the Willamette channel a foot away is relaxing and beautiful, bring a jacket and spend an evening under the stars, it's just far enough away that the light pollution of Portland doesn't... read more
Seriously good food from scratch. Fantastic setting on the water. Best long island in town- if Brook makes it. There has been a little change up w/the sous/chef but things are still coming out hot and with a twist. Great service
