Triage nurse was extremely rude. Told me “i don’t care about your issues just tell me what’s wrong” almost immediately. this is how bad it’s got? no wonder why people are always sick and hurt. nobody wants to even interact with the canadian health system, you’re all disgusting and don’t care about people. go get another job, half you people at this hospital are wasting peoples time and health. shame on you. Karma sucks.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Markham Stouffville Hospital. I came to the emergency room after experiencing a seizure, which I knew was related to low calcium levels — something I’ve dealt with before. Despite explaining this, I was made to wait for an extended period of time, and when blood tests were finally done, they did not even test for calcium. I delivered my first baby at Markham Stouffville's midwifery unit and ended up getting a c-section. All nurses and doctors were amazing and supportive after an exhaustive 24+ hours. I can't thank them enough. Even during my 24h stay to recover from my c-section, all the nurses were helpful in answering my questions in the baby's well-being and nursing. Thank you, thank you!

My young daughter had surgery here. It was a successful surgery: many thanks to the doctor for that. The after-care impressed me as well. I was able to see all the nurses and volunteers being very caring, making sure my daughter and I were well taken care of. Toddlers obviously require special care and a different approach, and I saw all the staff taking that into consideration in their interactions, which I'm grateful for. The entire experience was a very positive one. Thank you so much, surgical unit staff!
