Mark was a terrific teacher at Stony Brook, and an excellent surgeon. Most important of all, he's a real "mentch", i.e. a very decent human being. I'm retired now, but in 35 years of learning, practicing, and teaching oral surgery, Mark was one of my favorite people. It is an honor to have studied with him, and to know him.
