Dr. Shaffer truly cares about his patients. My husband and I both see him and he has been very responsive, communicates well and goes above and beyond. He has met me up at the office on a weekend to change bandages and has called after hours to follow up and check in on us. 100% would recommend him to anyone!
Best foot Dr. you will ever find. They don't come any smarter or nicer and caring!
He is generally very friendly but had my surgery canceled, informed me the day before, and would give absolutely no reason for it. He just said that his gut was telling him I wasn't ready for the surgery. It was an extremely minimal, quick surgery that I have had BEFORE, so I was absolutely ready. I asked him WHY he didn't feel right to operate and he became very unfriendly and refused to give an explanation of any sort. Pleasant, expert provider with a clean office and helpful staff- what else could you ask for? They even worked with our kind-of-weird insurance situation with no hassles and no balance billing!

Called during normal business hours according to a recorded message (2:30 - 3PM). Never got anyone on the phone to make an appointment. Take your medical care somewhere else.
Dr Shaffer went above and beyond to help me (even during the week of Christmas). He is a problem solver, which saved me so much time and money. He is a doctor who gives me faith in humanity! Made me feel like part of the family. HIGHLY recommend. Trustworthy, honest, dependable.
Extreme;y caring and conscientious. Is will to provided detailed explanations of problem and proposed treatment. Attempts minimally invasive treatment first but will then move on to more complicated action when needed. Excellent in every way.
Doc Shaffer rocks!! a very personable and caring man who works WITH you and your condition!! I've seen him twice now for a fracture to my heel and he has taken amazing care of me!! he is now my regular podiatrist...
