If 6 stars were an option, Dr. Scarborough would have my vote! He is kind, thorough, caring, and highly competent ... his staff is excellent as well. I had a large mass in my arm - intramuscular. He removed it via general surgery at Shand's Cancer hospital. His team was wonderful, empathetic, and, overall, highly skilled. My recommendation for him, if needed, is an A+. Shand's Cancer would also receive my top notch rating as well. Thank you, Dr Scarborough, for caring for me during an anxious time in my life.
Back 18 years ago. I came to Shands Hospital with a cancerous tumor in my right hip joint and socket. 8.5 hour in surgery removed the tumor and my hip joint and socket. Approximately 2.5 weeks stay at the hospital and rehab hospital was rough but the staff of both hospitals took excellent care of me. Now, I'm still able to walk with little or no limp. And the students that assist Dr. Scarborough, when I visit, are amazed that I'm able to bend over and touch my toes with 1 intact hip. All because of the dedication to patient ... read more
