Dr. Kogan listens, is intelligent and patient. Our situation is unusual and Dr. Kogan has expressed an interest and willingness to assist. We know that with Dr. Kogan on our team, we have a Doctor who's willingness to participate and problem solve.
Dr. Kogan takes the time to listen to me which is critical to my care. He's knowledgeable and patient. I ask a lot of questions and advice regarding my treatment plan which he is willing to answer. He gives me the pros and cons to taking certain medications and advises me accordingly. But it's clear the decision is always mine to make and that is refreshing in this day an age. Most doctors look at as just a medical number. With Dr. Kogan I'm a person!!
Excellent Doctor and Staff! I feel very comfortable talking with Dr. Kogan and trust in his opinions and expertise. A true professional that listens and cares for his patients like family.
I have had a long history of issues with my gut that have been difficult to diagnose and treat. After taking a great deal of time to review all of my past tests and treatments we tried several approaches and now I am happy to say that I have the best year that I can remember in a long time. My only problem with the office is that it can be hard to reach them sometimes.
Dr. Kogan and his staff were great and pleasant to work with.
First of all try to eat healthy but if you happen to have GI issues,DONOT see another GI specialist other than Dr.Kogan.I am biased because my experience was ten stars .Upper GI with Colonscopy could not be better

I have known Dr. Mark Kogen for over 20+ years he was my Loving late wife's Gastro Doctor before he became mine. My most recent procedure done at Alta Bates was performed with perfection by his entire staff Maryann prep nurse and Dr. Cooper the anesthesiologist Dr. Kogan is a master of his craft and I have never been more confident in a Doctor. Love the man and his entire staff. Wishing You all the best Ty Wade.

As a patient of Dr. Mark Kogan, I have been very pleased with his disposition, and with his very caring approach. This is important when raising a family, and also dealing with possible health issues, because knowing you are in the hands of a doctor who cares can help to relieve a lot of unnecessary stress. As for the nurses, excellent bedside manners--- except for one. Even though I told her I was still feeling dizzy, she continued to push me to get dress so I can leave. Not a good situation.
