I am 51. I presented severe pain in my glute with additional neurological symptoms which made standing and walking impossible. The diagnosis was a severe herniation of the l4/l5 lumbar disc. Dr. Kayanja and his team performed a lumbar micro-discectomy. Surgery was performed only after several months of more conservative treatments had failed. I had spinal fusion surgery for my scoliosis with Dr. Kayanja and couldn’t have had a better experience. His bedside manner is unmatched- makes you feel so comfortable and encouraged through the entire process. And his surgery skills are even better. I’m 6 weeks post op and feel better than ever. Dr. Kayanja focuses on minor details just as much as the major ones! If you’re looking for a back doctor he is the one!! ALSO, his staff is amazing, everyone makes you feel right at home and answers all your questions.
