I was under Dr. Lencke's care several years ago for unexplained seizures. One Saturday morning, while under his care mind you, I woke to find I could not see out of one eye. I looked up Dr. Lencke in the Columbia phone book and was quite panicked as to what it could be that was wrong with me. I have Trigemenial Neuralgia. It took forever to have it diagnosed and had been treated by several doctors. It was not until I found and visited Dr. Lencke that I got the treatment that I needed. He listened to me and spent time to understand my pain and frustration with lack of relief for years. In my opinion he is worth the hour drive that I travel for the treatment that I receive from him.

I went to visit this doctor upon the recommendation of my primary care physician. The doctor was extremely rude, disrespectful and dissmissive of my symptoms. I will not be returning and would never refer anyone to him

Closed early for thanksgiving without notifying "phone answering service". Was instructed to call this day to get MRI results before leaving country for 2 weeks. I call and get answer from person who would not give results and would only respond to emergencies. They did not know if the office was closed or not. Would not recommend this office. Sad given the doctor was ok.

I had left 4 stars for dr lencke & 1 star for his staff. i'm changing his to 1 star. I've had dr lencke neglect to send my scrip for migraine meds (he put me on a 3-week no OTC meds regimen; only option was that scrip); I called repeatedly for his office to call it in before a 3-day wkend; they were horribly rude when I did reach them, then STILL didn't call it in, then left early for the whole weekend. answ service wasn't allowed to take messages, so couldn't even get on-call doc to send scrip.

I read the reviews and was hesitate to go, but all the reviews did not reflect him. He is kind and compassionate. He listened to everything I had to say. I would recommend him to anyone.
