Avoid this doctor unless you have a tough skin (no pun intended). She is very clinical and cold. Delivered a very distressing diagnosis to our 15-year old son with no compassion whatsoever. And then prescribed a medication which actually harmed his skin. After consulting with a different dermatologist, realized how truly inept this doctor is. My daughter and I have both seen Dr. Gwynn about 3 times a year for several years now because of fairly severe, chronic skin disorders. We've been very pleased with her service and have had excellent treatment results. She's well-informed, professional, and explains the what-and-why clearly in terms we can understand.
Dr. Gamber is very intelligent and knows exactly how to treat all types of acne. She is straightforward and to-the-point. My only complaint is that she zips through appts. If you see her, make sure you have all your questions well-thought out in advance so that she isn't out the door before you can gather your thoughts
Dr. Gamber is really speedy, so if you like to dilly dally in an appointment and talk about personal stuff she isn't the doctor for you. If you like a doctor who is straight to the point without rushing you and is on time than I'd recommend her. She isn't for everyone, but I love going to see her because I know she won't give me lip service and I won't have to wait forever to be seen.
Dr. Jaffe is an excellent, knowledgeable and caring doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.
You will not find a better dermatologist than Dr. Mark Jaffe. He's not just an excellent physician, he actually cares. Imagine that! I've been his patient for over 15 years, and wouldn't go to anyone else.
I called the office as a new patient to make an appointment and without asking whether my condition was acute or anything else, this person said "we can't see you until the end of the summer." I asked if this means August and was told "no, in September!!!" That's 10-12 weeks away. Don't bother calling if you think you have melanoma. You'll probably be dead before this office can see you.
Nice. Allows you to manage your own care and listens to your suggestion and never feel rush. Explains everything before he performs a task.
Very cooperative in allowing me to participate in my care. Open to suggestions and free with advice.
