I have a large house (was once a church) that had a 130 year old slate roof. The access was difficult as the property is in town and neighboring houses are close on both sides. The roof was removed and replaced with a metal roof. Removing an old slate roof is a dirty process but the workers cleaned continuously as the work progressed. Good work but really strange communication during the process. I was not informed during the work itself, did not get notified when they were leaving for the day (apparently it was a multi-day process), and was not given a walk through of the work after it was done. No one came to inspect the work so I guess I need to trust that everything was done correctly and I got what I was quoted for. No one told me when the work was done, they all just vanished.
