Dr. Hadfield is warm and personable, and very easy to talk with. He takes the time to listen to what the patient has to say, and never makes you feel like you're being rushed through. He performed a right shoulder rotator cuff repair (done by another physician 5 years ago, but re-injured). The surgery and after-care was great, and with nearly full use of the shoulder and arm only 4 months post-surgery. I would rate Dr. Hadfield as an excellent surgeon, and highly recommend him.
What a wonderful doctor! Two of my friends recommended Dr. Hadfield to me for my rotator cuff surgery, and I've already recommended him to several other friends! I really like a doctor who explains things to me and answers my questions in a way I can understand, treats me like my well-being matters to him, and cares for me in a very efficient and professional manner. Dr. Hadfield does all these things, and I highly recommend him! His physical therapy staff is also excellent.
Dr. Hadfield cannot be more highly recommended. He is caring, listens, and REALLY knows his medicine and practice. My procedure was smooth, relatively painless, and fixed my issue the first time. THANK YOU so much, Dr. Hadfield!!!
Dr. Hadfield was very professional and took the time to explain the procedure I was going to have. He was very truthful and mentioned the positives and negatives of meniscus tears and surgery. He also supply pictures of the surgery before and after pics and explained the images. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.
Dr. Hadfield has performed arthroscopic surgery on both of my knees and most recently, repaired my torn rotator cuff. The knee surgeries were great and were truly life-changing but I am even more impressed with the work Dr. Hadfield has done with my shoulder. He repaired my rotator cuff and, while the recovery has been long (about 4 months), the recovery has been successful. My repaired shoulder now has a better range of motion than my other shoulder!
I was very pleased with Dr. Hadfield and his team. I am a 66 year old male and this is the first time I have needed any type of orthopedist type care. On my initial consultation Dr, Hadfield explained the nature of my injury ( a ruptured quadricep tendon), the procedure necessary to repair the injury and the anticipated recovery time. On the day of surgery Dr. Hadfield again explained what the procedure again. On each followup visit I was informed of my progress.
Dr. Hadfield has provided care for tendonitis of the shoulder and a torn meniscus of the knee. The knee required arthroscopic surgery. I have been very pleased with him and the entire OrthoVirginia team. He carefully explains the pros and cons of alternate treatment procedures and listens carefully, The practice is well managed and includes the convenience of on-site physical therapy.
I would highly recommend Mark Hadfield to anyone. I dislocated my shoulder and tore my labrum. I am nearly finished with physical therapy and I have better than 95% of my range of motion back. I would give ten stars if I could.
Dr. Hadfield and Scott are world class physicians with impeccable skills. My situation was extremely difficult in nature and fraught with potential for a less than desirable result. Yet Dr. Hadfield performed phenomenal and skilled work in that my result exceeded everyone expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Hadfield, my Completely Torn Rotator Cuff surgery was a huge success, and I attribute my great recovery to his knowledge and capabilities. I was fortunate to find Dr. Hadfield.
