I just had my second cataract surgery with both eyes set for distance and I am extremely satisfied. Dr. Pyfer was very professional and understanding and if I could give him a 10 instead of a 5 I would.
My experience with Dr. Pyfer was truly disappointing. I was given information on interocular lenses and was told by Dr. Pfyer that I would only need glasses for tiny print. Dr. Pfyer also told me that he could and did correct a stigmatism during surgery. After paying an additional $3,300 for the interocular lenses, I had to pay another $450 for glasses I wasn't supposed to need and was told at that time that I had a stigmatism that Dr. Pyfer claimed to correct. I called his office several times and once was told that he did ... read more
If you have a high deductible insurance policy expect to pay for your procedure in advance. I have never had this experience with a health care provider's office before but was told that's their policy. When I asked them to submit the procedure to the insurance company so that I could see what I would owe I was told that this was not possible. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable
Dr. Pyfer is very personable and approachable. He gives you A LOT of information about your situation. His staff are helpful and courteous, and they do a lot of tests and measurements before you see the doctor. By the time Dr Pyfer comes to the exam room, he had a lot of data about my condition. He did his own thorough exam, and he recommended high-tech lens implants to replace my cataracts that also eliminated the reading glasses I had grown to hate over 16 years!
Dr. Pyfer was extremely helpful and informative. I had to schedule an emergency appointment and the staff was very accommodating.
Dr. Pyfer is a highly skilled surgeon who was very professional and caring. He explained my cataract procedure, and what was to be expected. "I was amazed after my surgery how much my vision improved. The clearness, brightness of colors, and sharpness of my environment. Everything went as was expected, his compassion and knowledge was surperb. The staff was very efficient, informative, courteous, friendly and treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. I am truly grateful.
I found Dr. Pyfer to be rude, inconsiderate, and arrogant. His prescriptions for my glasses had to be redone by another physician at the practice both years that he did my vision exam. I have stopped using him.
Dr Pyfer performed my PRK surgery. I am almost a year out and my vision went from 20/400 to 20/15. I have been very impressed with Dr Pyfer and his staff. Laura (LASIK coordinator) is very knowledgeable and has been very responsive to follow up emails.
