Office Scheduled me for wrong surgery. When I tried to call to correct their mistake, I was on hold 3 separate times for over 20 min each time. Person on phone tried to tell me it was my fault ( why would I schedule for a gtube exchange when I don’t have a gtube). Promised it would be corrected immediately. .. still haven’t got the correct order! Horrible to deal with staff, if and when you get to doctor, he’s helpful. HIRE BETTER STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staff doesn't return calls, staff never identifies themselves when they answer the phone which appears to allow them to be indifferent, uninterested and impatient.
This is the second GI doctor I have seen within Rush. I switched to Dr. DeMeo because my previous doctor didn't see patients on the days that I am able to go to the office. Dr. DeMeo listens, and tries to come up with solutions to problems keeping in mind my quality of Life. He has called me a few times himself to explain what would benefit me, or what I need to do, and doesn't require me to come in when I don't need to. He understands that I am a person, not just a disease, which is rare.
