Dr Oberlander is very patient and kind and always answers all of my questions. I've been a glaucoma patient of his for 15 years now. He also performed both of my cataract surgeries. He's the best!
Surgery Patient should not be made "wrong" about not finding vital surgery detail sheet, and so calling to ask and confirm surgery info. If reason for call is to confirm vital surgery info that I didn't have (couldn't find) and (RECORDED) I STATED THIS AT OUTCOME, then staff should be understanding, kind, helpful and patient to review surgery info with patient. great staff, and a super md, i was very pleased.
Disappointing! He was clueless of the eye issues I mentioned - and was in and out of the exam room in a few minutes. If this is the BEST it gets at Eye Associates, this is my Worst experience with an ophthalmologist.
Very satisfied with Dr Oberlander and his staff. HIs scheduling assistant Katie is second to none. She is very professional with a heart of gold. Shows ultimate care in patients needs. I have had had two cataract procedures completed. The whole process was handled in a very professional and diligent way. I strongly recommend Eye Associates of Pinellas. They have literally brighten my day! Thank You.
Eye Associates of Pinellas is a huge eye clinic. My experience here was less than desirable. The Doctor is probably fine, the staff is terrible. Arrogant, inexperienced, always with their backs to patient due to computer data entry and inaccurate prescription. When questioned, a refusal to accept responsibility for error. Not recommended.
I made my appointment specifically to see Dr. Oberlander, but after a wait of over two hours, I saw him for approximately three minutes. I was his last patient, and he seemed to be in a hurry. I was given numerous tests by staff, but did not have my eyes dialated. (This was essential because of medication I am taking.) The charge for this appointment was over $465 dollars. I will not return to his practice. T have
Very disappointed with this doctor. He seemed to be in a rush, and barely examined my eyes. I went to him for a more thorough eye exam as I have several eye issues. I paid to see an opthalmologist but I could have just gone to an optician instead. The receptionist forgot to put my folder in the sorter so I wasn't called in after almost an hour later . Being a new patient I thought I would have to fill out some papers but they did not require that either.The two assistants inside are excellent.

The staff and the doctor very professional and friendly. Definitely recommend friends and relatives to eye associates.
