This was my third surgery with Dr. Chang. He discovered multiple myeloma (cancer) during previous kyphoplasty. This time incuded 3 lamenectomies, kyphoplasty for fracture and fusion. All after I was sent home with pain meds from Northwestern Hospital. He is extremely thorough, a clear communicator, and a caring person. He's just the best.
I found Midwest Spine Care to be unquestionably a professional and positive experience. Dr. Mark Chang is an impressive surgeon with great knowledge of Orthopedic/ Spine conditions. I am forever grateful to Dr. Chang for my successful surgery which has given me back my quality of life.

Wait was not extremely long and most of the time was very prompt. When I was a new patient he took time with me and explained what was needed to fix my problem.
I couldn't be happier with the results of my coflex implants. I suffered from severe back pain for 30 years and now I have real relief from pain! As soon as the anesthesia wore off I was able to walk . Three weeks later I was playing golf. Dr. Chang gave me the opportunity to enjoy life again!! His office staff is superb as well.
Dr. Chang did my last spinal surgery in 2013 and I went back to him in 2018 for spinal fusion on 2 vertebrae in my neck. He is the only one I will let touch me - he is that good. And , he is so kind and understanding- even called me at home on a Sunday !!
Dr. Chang was excellent. Listened to my issues and problems and provided great options as well, in the long run, I opted for surgery. He explained things very well, was right on in terms of the procedure and my recovery. Would highly recommend him to anyone. Kind, passionate, great bed side manors and his office staff is very kind and helpful.
Dr. Chang is caring, compassionate & excellent surgeon. When I went in with the MRI disc of my neck on a Thursday, he saw the extreme pain I was in and scheduled me for surgery the next day! After the operation I was pain free. I thanked him for doing such a good job and he told me that God also had a part in guiding him. I had never heard a doctor or surgeon acknowledge that. Just a warm & wonderful human being!!! He also has a staff that is very helpful and friendly.
Excellent Experienced Surgeon, Only one that was as able to diagnose my Issue. Had Great results post op. I continue with follow up care He is an expert at All.Ortho /Spine conditions. I'm a Critical Care RN and refer Everyone who needs Spine Care!!! Definitely in Great hands. Took care.of My family members as well . Follow up care is great, If you have Spine issues, he cares about your total well Being
