RecommendedOur room was very nice and clean. The motel itself was in the middle of being painted and by the time we left it had almost taken on a whole new look. The location was fantastic and right in the heart of all the boardwalk action. The shower and beach crossover is literally right by the Marjac and the crossover to beach street usa is on the other side.. My only complaints would be the slow elevator and noisy neighbors in the middle of the night.. All in all I loved our little mini vacation at the Marjac.
Great time there this past week Your staff was very accommodating and friendly. Room very clean and comfortable beds. Great view of oceanfront and sunrises in the morning. Location excellent close to great entertainment and good food. Thoroughly enjoyed the week with you guys Thanks George

Checked into the room and the heat was not working. They had one space heater in the living area, not the sleeping area. The toilet did not flush. I am 7 months pregnant and could not stay in that environment since no one could come fix it, we had to go get another room. They are now refusing to refund me for the room stating it is non-refundable. However, it is unacceptable to place someone in a room without any heat in 30-40 degree weather...especially when they are pregnant.
Having grown up in Va. Beach, I have always known about the Marjac. I have known people who have worked there over the years, etc. When I come to VA. Beach, I usually stay at the Travelodge Suites, which is pretty much a shithole, but it works. Many people told me to try the Marjac, as it has renovated rooms, good service, etc. So, I made a reservation for the Marjac on a booking website.
