Honestly, we've stayed in over 7 locations around big bear. This is the best value for money. It might be slightly more expensive but the beds are great, the amenities are great and the staff are always amazing. Especially the lady always on reception. I wish I knew her name! She is amazing. The location is unbeatable, it has reverse cycle aircon so your not in a GAS heater hot box with no airflow. Sauna, Hot tub pool in summer and the food on the deck is great. You won't regret booking this place.
Currently sitting up at midnight for the second night in a row listening to every single footstep of the room above me. This is absurd for the price. Put all that Reno money into the wrong things.
Very bad, not worth the money. And the staff is rude; paying around 300$ and still they cannot accommodate a request to provide a microwave for dietary needs, and they call themselves so called 4 star. Save the money and time and go for a normal 3 or 2 star , and you would get free Microwave if asked.
The hotel itself is great. The restaurant has good drinks and the location is superb. The views of the lake are incredible. Really nice place. There are a few areas for improvement - my wife and I do not understand why the hotel does not provide a water kettle or coffee machine. I cannot remember the last time a hotel (at $300 with tax per night) did not provide such service. There is coffee available at the front desk but it was quite diluted.
