UPDATE AFTER POSTING: After I posted this review, the manager called the person whose name our reservation was under specifically to discuss my review. According to her, he spent about 10 minutes complaining about me and our group, asked who “Alexander” was, called us horrible guests, said he should have canceled our reservation, and said our entire group was now on a “do not rent” list. My friend and I did rent a kayak each from the kiosk. The experience was overall very pleasant. Nick took good care of pushing us and the kayaks into the water and pulling the kayaks back out. The time on the water was well spent. The cost was $26 for 90 minutes. we enjoyed the water views and outlook on the boots and the Chace Park on a beautiful and warm Thursday morning in October. of note: I highly recommend to stay to the left or right sites of the Hatbor; avoid the middle. AVOID THIS PLACE. Worst boat rental experience I’ve ever had. The manager was rude and condescending from the moment we arrived. Someone in our group had already started the check-in process about 15 minutes before the rest of us arrived, yet we still stood around for another 20 minutes while he repeatedly ignored us. rented a boat for my wife, dog and 3 grandchildren. Great experience- boat ran well, check in and check out were smooth. I wish I had asked for instruction on connecting to the bluetooth. Will definitely do it again!
BEWARE: Extremely rude and unprofessional management. I'm not sure what the owner/manager's issue was, but the way he spoke to both customers and his own employees was incredibly condescending and disrespectful. What stood out to me most was that the employees seemed accustomed to being spoken to this way, which was honestly sad to witness.
