About a year ago I was diagnosed with MDS bordering on AML Leukemia at the Oncology Hematology Clinic at the VA Hospital . I sought a second opinion from the Scripps Prebys Cancer center in Hillcrest . I met with Dr. Marin Xavier , a renowned blood cancer specialist , and was introduced to the facility .
