Not a usable playground during the week. It’s blocked off for use by a school, and the employee there said it wasn’t open to the public until 6! There was no signage at the playground that indicated this, and I’m not sure if this is a charter school taking advantage of the playground without informing the city. I’ve never heard of a recreation center being reserved by a school before. Community spaces are for the community.
These hours are not accurate. First off, this is an elementary school, secondly, they have hours for the general public, but I was told from 4-8/9 p.m… why offer it at all? What a scam, that gives no time for the public to use your extra large industrial facility. The mayor needs to know about this racket, and how they benefit from calling themselves a rec center, but for 3 hours a day…
