Date night with the wife and we LOVE Italian food. This place is great in the valley so we decided to try it out over here! We ordered Bruschetta to start with and I had the Pasta Alfred Penne with Grilled Chicken and wife got the Ravioli a la Marinara. A+
Undecooked meatballs – Friday Nite Dinners is a weekly event I do with my extended family. We go to tons of restuarants in the Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia areas. This past Friday nite was the first time in 3 years that I have been sick - really sick - from food poisoning. And I know it was Maria's Spaghetti & Meatballs that did it. My husband ate my leftovers later that nite (before I started feeling sick) and had similiar symptoms. Will not go back again.
Very Pleased! – Pleasantly Pleased! This weekend I put together a Bachelorette party up in LA. We stayed at the Luxe Hotel on Sunset and had about 20 girls in the suite for a pre-party. I wanted to provide some food so I ordered the Sandwich Family Meal. What a great deal. I got the Large and there were plenty of Sandwiches. The halves were about 6". NEVER AGAIN! – I used to love Maria's! My family and I would eat here often. However, after our last visit in January two members of our dinner party ended up with what the doctor determined was food poisoning. One member of our party was hospitalized. ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER.HIGHLY RECOMMND!!! – Love this place!!! I always get their mushroom pizza and the boss knows my order. haha. Their pizza is the best Ive had. Its a simple pizza and I love the sauce. Even though I dont live in the area I've had there ravioli, pastas, and many pizzas. Off our list – Maria's has been a favorite restaurant of my family's for years. We love eating there on Sunday evenings. The servers have been there a while and they are friendly and remember you. Tonight will be our last visit as the manager made our meal a very unpleasant event, which is sad because we were celebrating my husband's birthday. Great For Pick Up – LA has excellent upscale Italians restaurants, but sometimes falls short in the area of family style venues. Maria’s fills that void. Even my native New Yorker wife praises this place. The Brentwood location is ideal for taking out. One can park right up front in the parking lot and easily run in and out. They even deliver if you have a bit more patience. Good place for an easy bite.
Late,rude manager don't waste your time – I am so disappointed in the service. You would think they would have the common sense to bring utensils when you order salad and pizza. The manager actually said,you got your order what's your problem? My problem is your incompetence!
One of my favorite affordable Italian restaurants! – My boyfriend & I first came across this place in Woodland Hills when driving by one day about 4 years ago and have been coming here ever since!
