This home-grown education in the fundamentals of Napolitano sauces, soups, d... read more

Very Pleased! – Pleasantly Pleased! This weekend I put together a Bachelorette party up in LA. We stayed at the Luxe Hotel on Sunset and had about 20 girls in the suite for a pre-party. I wanted to provide some food so I ordered the Sandwich Family Meal. What a great deal. I got the Large and there were plenty of Sandwiches. The halves were about 6". The Meal came with a salad, 28 halves and cookies. The Salad was HUGE! I was so happy how big it was, but I was also sad that I didn't have the correct means to take the leftove... read more

Great For Pick Up – LA has excellent upscale Italians restaurants, but sometimes falls short in the area of family style venues. Maria’s fills that void. Even my native New Yorker wife praises this place. The Brentwood location is ideal for taking out. One can park right up front in the parking lot and easily run in and out. They even deliver if you have a bit more patience. Good place for an easy bite.

Late, rude manager don't waste your time – I am so disappointed in the service. You would think they would have the common sense to bring utensils when you order salad and pizza. The manager actually said, you got your order what's your problem? My problem is your incompetence!

Friendly and boisterous Italian-American spot for convenient neighborhood dining. – In Short With its black, white and red color scheme, Maria's is a bright, welcoming place full of families, ritzy ladies out for dinner and couples grabbing a quick bite. A handy neighborhood hangout, the menu features Italian dishes and pizza. The fried zucchini appetizer is spotted with sesame seeds, while the capri salad or spinach salad--with Gorgonzola, pancetta, and glazed walnuts--make lighter starts. Porcini mushroom risotto comes wit... read more

Bad Pizza, Curt Staff – Bad Pizza for the price. Very curt staff as well. Papa John's does it better. We ordered a veggie pizza and were disappointed with the quality.

Great Homestyle Italian – Only ordered take out but still very delicious! All of the dishes from pasta to their hot sandwiches are great - fresh, not too salty and very hefty portions. Chicken parm and pasta salads are staples - BBQ chicken pizza is also great. Only con is the soup - very expensive for a small pint of chick'n noodle...(altho very good).

Tasty but Jerky – Great little hole in the wall that literally started as a takeout window opening onto the sidewalk. Best pizza in L.A. in my opinion, with fabulously spicy & garlicky sauce & crispy crust. Also the best chopped salad 'cuz of their own dressing. But about a year ago they got a new owner who's a real jerk - now makes the staff charge for bread - how tacky & cheap can you get? Costs the staff their tips.
