Great Cuts and Friendly Staff – I've been traveling 3 1/2 hours every six to eight weeks to have my haircut at this salon for the past 10 years. I've always enjoyed my experience with the staff and have had great cuts by both Chris (for 2 years) and Jeffrey for the last 8 years. Alex keeps the reception desk and the rest of the salon moving efficiently while being gracious to clients coming and going. In good taste – The staff of Marianne Strokirk exhibit good taste in all that they do. Let's face it, it's an industry that is full of ridiculous trends. They remain truly modern and classic, never indulging in trends that are fleeting. I always feel that I emerge from the salon feeling like a better version of "me." Consistently Amazing – I am very picky about who cuts my hair. I only get it cut 3 times/year and for the amount of money I am willing to spend, it has to be great cut. I have been coming here to see Anthony for over 6 years and have only had positive experiences. I have found most high end salons to be cold and pretentious. Here they are down-to-earth friendly. Worth it if you like stylist – Went on several friends' recommendations, for a haircut with Bonnie. She is an amazing stylist - efficient, knows what she's doing. I'd always had problems with the volume of my hair and would ask different stylists to "make it lighter" but no one really got it except for Bonnie! I would definitely go back for HER but the salon overall is just, so, Oak Street. Highlighting goddess and color corrector – My hair was ruined by another high end salon. Word on the street was that Marianne Strokirk Salon is the place to go for color correction. Thank the Lord for these miracle workers. I had a special occasion and my hair was destroyed. Meagan was able to save the day and fix my hair. The salon is pricey so I wasn't sure if I could afford to go back, but I did, and I'm glad I did. Meagan was able to put highlights in my hair and make my hair shine with a color glaze. Just not a good experience – When you think that you are going to a high end salon that you would be paying high end prices you would THINK the salon would at least look updated, and the customer service would be up to par. I was recomended to see Jeffery, he was great loved the haircut. Experienced awkward situation with arguing between colorist vrs. stylist that made the enviorment uncomfrotable and put lot of tension in the room. The staff was inconsiderate.
Finally some one who listens and gave me the best hair color ever. – I had a really positive experience at this great little salon on Oak street. The staff was busy and attentive, and aside from it being a little out-dated, it was very clean. Now, I've had a couple of bad color jobs and quite frankly, had no idea what to ask for to fix things. I was recomended to a young lady named Meagan who not only listened but gave me the best hair color I have ever had. I get so many compliments on it!
best cut ever!! – I recently went to marianne strokirk and received the best haircut I have ever had! I was referred to the stylist (Bonnie) from a friend. I had no idea my hair could look so good!! I always thought I just had bad hair but really all I needed was a great cut. Worth every penny!!
Its not that great. – I went on a Saturday morning. The staff was nice, but my haircut was uneven. I expected better , and I would not go back.
