Office and doctor won’t assist me in appealing my diabetes medication with my insurance provider. It’s their job to care for their patients and vouch for the proper care. They simply seem to not care anymore. And seems many doctors are leaving the practice, only further worsening the care for patients as it was already somewhat worrisome. If I don’t get my medication I will regain weight, higher my blood sugar levels and resume back to being sick. I have seen Dr. Mercado twice. Both times I have walked away feeling like she didn't even see me. The last time I saw her she was with me 10 minutes and decided I needed to add a very expensive medication to my list of many. I realize she is leaving but my guess is she would not take the time to get to know her patients either way. I miss Amberia Dedric. You need to find doctors who can take the time to get to know their patients.
I have done very well under her care for my diabetes.
