Terrible service and food, but a pretty good Margarita and chips – As the level of food quality and service continue to escalate in Waltham, Margaritas continues to slide. The space and the location on the Charles are great, but the food and service are not at the same level. There is a large number of waitstaff always willing to sing "happy birthday" but not nearly as willing to clear your dirty plates. The food is bland and represents the fact that Margaritas is a theme park more than a restaurant. If they focused as much ... read more

Poor service, Nothing special about the food – We were looking forward to Margaritas based on the reviews. We went on a Sunday evening and it was not crowded. We were greated promptly and seated right away. From there it was down hill. Our server showed up about 10 minutes later to ask about drinks, we asked for more chips and salsa, which he forgot. It was not just our table, the wait staff was spending more appologizing to the customers that evening then serving food or drinks. Table next to us was atleast given free drink... read more

Best Sushi In town!!!! – Our hotel clerk recommended (she said the sushi chef is world famous) this place b/c i was craving some good sushi. So we walk in, and it is a Mexican food joint w/ a sushi bar smacd dab in the middle. I was thinking.. wha the heck? So we sit down and order some rolls. I am not kidding you, the Catapillar and Crunchy roll are TO DIE FOR! I've never had better in my LIFE. We also had a phili roll and spicy tuna roll.. the tuna roll was HOT HOT HOT. A friend of mine just told me that i have to try thei... read more

Spacious seating, standardized favorites help this outpost of the New England chain set the standard for family-friendly Mexican dining. – The Scene A central, easy-to-find location in the historic Cronin's Landing building help to keep this popular and affordable Mexican eatery crowded (when the seasonal, riverside patio is open, overall capacity approaches 400). But it's Margaritas' affordable prices, generous portions and kid-friendly cuisine that make the restaurant a favorite of area families: bring earplugs and patienc... read more

Potent margaritas are reason enough to stop by this welcoming Mexican restaurant. – In Short Located in one of Beechmont Avenue's many strip malls, Margaritas offers the usual array of burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, chimichangas and other Mexican standbys. There are a few surprises, such as the shrimp ceviche, "cooked" in lime juice and served ice-cold with tomato, onion, peppers and avocado. House specialties include the steak Margaritas (a New York strip topped with onions, mushrooms and Monterey jack), carnitas (stewed po... read more

arrogant staff – I have been to Margaritas several times and have enjoyed the food and drinks, but some of the staff are the rudest I have ever dealt with. They also now seem to cater to a smoking crowd, who surround the entrance (covering you with their filthy smoke when you try to enter) and who think their entire party can come and go from the bar for large periods of time and expect their table to be theirs when they return. The management needs to do something about this or they are going to continue to lose patrons.

Overpriced, overcooked, over rated – At a restaurant, food should always be served hoy (temperature). At a Mexican restaurant, the food should be "hot" (spicy" as well. At Margarita's, it is neither. Food is terribly bland (tastes more like it came out of a can or is nothing more than a frozen entrée re-heated (partially) ion a microwave (i.e. the plate is often hotter than the food). Drinks are only average (low quality liquor used, I suspect). Stay away unless you want to leave feeling like you just spent good money for a ... read more

Atleast it's Pretty – I am a local and have been in a few times. The food isn't that great, although the restaurant itself and outdoor patio is just beautiful. The ambiance is fun and the drinks are yummy. I would only go for the scenery and drinks.

Brown Street!!! – I usually dine at the Brown St Location because I live downtown. It has such a great lounge area and the food is always terrific. The servers are very friendly and willing to make chat (unless very busy) The food and drink are great. We have gone alone (my husband & I) and also in very large groups for happy hour (13+) and have a blast everytime. Full Moon is crazy, but better yet check out Cinco De Mayo! Complete Mayham and the service never lacks!
