For a small zoo it is one of the nicest I have ever been to. The animals always look well cared for as does their environment. There is so much to experience. The Sunken Garden is lovely, the movies in the park are great, and the lights at Christmas are beautiful. Then there are things that go on at other times during the year at the zoo. All of this in addition to healthy, happy animals. The Zoo has a booth once each season at the Cougar's games. Mr Johnson and his staff are to be commended for all they do.
For a small zoo the collection is actually very good. It's free and very well maintained. It's geared more for children so if you have kids this is a fine place to visit.
