Dr. Chuong grabbed my brother’s face during an appointment because he was not quick to respond to here directions. At an earlier, appointment I explained that he is hard of hearing, has sensory issues with sound, and has special needs. His aide did not step in and to tell her to stop because it was abusive and inappropriate. I do not recommend any patients with special needs.
Dr. Cheung is an excellent doctor. My mother had sudden fainting spells and started to hallucinate. My family took her to specialist after specialist (in Hawaii and California), but no one could properly diagnose her. She went to Dr. Cheung for her annual checkup, and Dr. Cheung took only 5 minutes to figure out that something was not right. Dr. Cheung referred my mother to the right specialist, and we were able to get her the proper care.
I highly suggest you consider going to an ophthalmologist who has a 4.5 to 5-star rating...
I have been going to Dr. Cheung for close to 20 years. She is professional, kind and knowledgeable. I tried another doctor closer to my house because I have a hard time driving with dilated eyes but I’m going back to Dr. Cheung. I miss her.
One star is too high. If you get referred to this Dr, I highly recommend you find another provider. When I moved to Oahu VA sent me to her but apparently they are paying this doctor to not do exams. Yesterday, when I couldn't buy new contacts because my 2020 prescription was over a year old, I contacted her office to get a copy of my prescription.. Although I had an exam in Nov her office staff informed me she had not done a contact exam because I "hadn't asked for one." (query why she thought I was there!). During my Nov ex... read more
