Wonderful staff, so welcoming and compassionate to all of us ! Lovely, peaceful rooms & delicious meals and treats (all made by volunteers) ! They all made a heart wrenching time much more bearable ! Thank you all !
It may seem unusual to write a review for a hospice, but I wanted to share our experience for families who may one day find themselves needing the care and support of a place like this. My brother spent his final days here, and although his stay was short, the staff, nurses, and volunteers provided exceptional care—not only for him, but for our entire family. If there ever was a silver lining it has to be incredible and caring staff and homeliness that comes with Margaret Bahen Hospice. As soon as I walked through the doors, it was like a load has been lifted off of our shoulders. Saying goodbye to a love one, in this case my mom, is never easy. After six weeks at SouthLake Regional Health Centre we had an opportunity to transfer her to the hospice. My mom was so blessed to spend the rest of her days here. What a wonderful group of nurses, psw staff, and volunteers, that care so personally and deeply for our loved ones. From day 1, I knew my mother would be in good hands here. They all treated mom with the most respect, dignity, and care during her stay here.
