As a visitor from Colorado that has a bunch of local breweries, I was very impressed with the vibe of this fantastic establishment. The overall aesthetic was amazing as well, from the location on the waterfront across from Mare Island a former Naval Base, to the layout of the brewery. The food was really good, I myself tried the Pulled Pork Sandwich, but tried a few other things from my parties plates. I had the Hydraulic Sandwich IPA and the Farmhouse Ale. Very good beers and food.
Great time at the Coal Shed Brewery yesterday for the Yardbird release party.
The food was amazing. Had the smoked trip tip sandwich. Had to find/look for service however they were all very nice. Wine was tasty. But definitely need more indoor seating for the winter so people are not standing around you. It was a little awkward with the drinking college students like on your back.
We usually go to Gilman Brewery in Berkeley (no Food) or Elevation 66 (Good Food) in El Cerrito because it’s closer to home. This is a cute Brewery. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes before someone asked us if they could help us. We wanted to try the food but no one offered to take our order. The front door was wide open and it was also very cold inside. It was an okay experience but I’m not sure we will be going back.
Love this place! The toasted cheese sandwich is awesome with the Coal Shed Stout!
I'm not a beer drinking but I'm sure it's awesome, as I've heard. But the food, awesome!! I had a gourmet grill cheese.....a week later, I'm still thinking about it. It was yummy❤️
