Update: 3/10/19. Please consider Coffee Break Pottery Art Ceramics in Grove City. Very professional and fun place for an outing of Pottery painting!! I hate when someone just complains and doesn't give alternative suggestions. I haven't forgotten my treatment at Marcy's so I'm coming back to let people know there are options around our city!

My piece did not fire correctly because I used a paint that would not work where I used it. (I was not told it wouldn't work) My options were to pay more money to have it fixed or take it as is. Just giving people a heads up that if you mess up or don't ask the right questions you may end up spending even more money! Wish I could post a picture of how it turned out! Not worth your time or money! Please look at other reviews online before making a decision to visit.

kid friendly and fun programs! – I love Marcy's clayground! I take my 2 children there every month for their mom and me program. I have a 2 year old and a infant and they have always been helpful, friendly and accomodating. My 2 year old loves it so much that whe we pull up in the parking lot she claps and yells "this hand!" and holds up her hand... meaning she is ready to paint! They have storytime and a themed pottery activity that they walk you through and will even help finish. Marcy has a great up to date selection and ... read more

Rude employee – I visited Marcy's Clayground with my daughter and a friend to celebrate a birthday. The pottery selection was good, and the prices relatively reasonable, but the woman working on both the day we painted, and the day I picked up our pieces, was unfriendly to the point of being rude. I will not be a repeat customer!

Fun and Affordable – What a great studio. It's been years since I've painted pottery, and now because of Marcy's Clayground I look forward to going back whenever I have time to spare. As a novice, the staff was extremely helpful with tips and suggestions. The atmosphere is very relaxing and because you are charged a studio fee that is only a percentage of the item you want to work on (and not by time) there is no sense of urgency to finish up and turn in a piece that isn't exactly what you had in mind. They will even keep yo... read more

Gotta love the Clayground! – I think that Marcy's Clayground is a great value for the money, and I love that she has a range of interesting and functional products (Christmas ornaments, teapots, picture frames, doorknobs, switchplates). Great for kids, and great for adults! I love the atmosphere of the store, too... on the funky side (brightly painted walls and a mosaic fireplace!), with a clean minimalism edge (simple, unstained tables and chairs).Visiting Marcy's Clayground is a great way to spend an afternoon or an evenin... read more

Marcy's Clayground is worth the trip! – This is simply the finest paint-your-own pottery studio in greater Columbus. I have been many times and have found it well worth the drive up north to Powell, even though other chain studios are closer to home. It is a charming, cozy environment complete with a gorgeous mosaic fireplace to work by. The atmosphere really encourages creativity. The studio is a great place to meet my girlfriends and take my young daughter. Plus, their studio time pricing is VERY fair compared to all other... read more
