We are really lucky to have Dr Marcus Malek as my Son's surgeon. He is so awesome in everything. He explained us in detail about the surgery and gave us a confidence that the surgery will be successful. My son is 6 years old. I must say that getting a good doctor is really a destiny. Half of our tension just goes like that before surgery if your doctor is good. Dr Malek performed a 3 hr emergency surgery on my son on Thanksgiving night. He thoroughly explained everything that happened, and patiently answered all of our questions. We are so thankful for his expertise, and we can't speak highly enough of him and everyone at UPMC Children's Hospital!
