About

When the decor does not matter but good food does, My Family's Pizza is the place to opt for. With only five small tables to accommodate patrons, this pizzeria serves better as a takeaway joint. However, taste and variety leave no room for complaints. Building on its family tradition, this pizzeria continues to prepare and serve Sicilian delicacies handed down from generations. Treat yourself to some delicious pies, slices, sausage and ground beef. That's not all, you can also indulge in a low-carb, whole wheat crust or try a special economic lunch comprising soda and a slice.

Dallas' OLDEST and BEST thin crust pizza – Do you know what? I love their pepperoni/cheese pizza. The sauce is SO good. The last 5 or 6 times I've just been pigging out on calzones. It's such a great place.. cool vibe. great pizza.. wish they sold some beers there too. Pizza and Beer would be a awesome!

Great PIzza? You can't be serious! – I have no idea if I am living on another planet than the others who have reviewed this place but tonight, relying on the reviews here I thought, "Ive got to try this place" Well, try it I did.....never again! Bland, Bland, Bland....oh, did I mention Bland. Sauce tasted like it was out of a can, crust had no flavor and neither did the toppings. Do yourself a favor, save the $$ and buy anything else, even a Jack in the Box Taco has more flavor.

To kazoo 1 – Dude. It's a take out place. Call em up on your way home from work. Pick it up at the sliding glass window. Cash only. Pour up a beer at home. Been doing it for 25 years. Best jalapeno/sausage pizza ever, thin crust, slightly sweet (but not too sweet) tomato sauce. Yes, the "large" is smaller than a chain pizza...but twice as good.

Their pizza is recommended but their restaurant is not – This is the 4th pizzeria I've tried of the top 10 recommended here by the Citysearch readers. I've already been to the the #1 rated pizzeria (the "Audience Winner" - Sal's Pizza) and I've tried the "Editoral Winner" (Angelo's Italian Grill). I've also been to what was last year's #1 rated Pizzeria - Campisi's (It fell to #8 this year). I decided to give Pizza by Marco a try partly because it was in the top 10 here and partly because it had been rated in the past as "Best Pizza in Dallas" by D Magazine. Ok, first of all it was hard to find. It was tucked away in a small corner of a shopping strip, with a small sign of its name above it's door. We went inside and it was just as small inside. It DID seem like a doctor's office as the editoral review here stated - with a sliding glass order window and a small area to sit. We ordered the biggest pizza they had, a 14" beef pizza. We also order 2 soft drinks. When I received the pizza I noticed it wasn't very large. It looked slightly larger than a medium sized pizza. Then we were handed our drinks - a couple of can soft drinks with no cup or ice! Not only that, but the drinks were completley room temperature... not cold at all!! We asked for cups and ice but they had none. Very disappointing. So anyway, I ate the first slice and actually to my suprise it was very tasty! My only complaint about it was I thought it was a little too thin - not thick enough. The pizza sauce, however, was very good. As I alluded to earlier, I'd prefer their largest pizza to be larger (as well as thicker) than it was. All in all, it was a very tasty pizza. I would recommend Marco over Sal's Pizza and Angelo's Italian Grill anyday. But I would suggest buying your soft drink elsewhere - unless you like your soft drink in a can with no cup or ice. I gave Marco a highly recommended rating because of their pizza but I do not give their overall restaurant a "highly recommended" rating. Now, if they were an actual doctor's office that served pizza...

Since 1956, this north Dallas staple has delighted palates with its unforgettable slices; just don't come with a group. – In Short Marco's looks like a doctor's office. There's no visible kitchen, and customers order at a sliding glass window (half expecting a clipboard to be handed out---the Spartans served pizza with more flourish). Marco's slices and pies, however, burst with flavor. The family has made pizza the same way for decades, but adapts to the times. Vegetarians can try soy cheese, pepperoni, sausage and ground beef. And meatheads can order a low-carb, 100 percent whole-wheat crust.

Excellence – I've had all the pizzas in Dallas I've read about, this one is almost 50years old, same family. Best sauce by far, great think crispy crust.
