I've seen Dr. Zakko several times. Since having cancer, he's been my bowel doctor. He's been amazing every time. Great bedside manner, incredibly talented, and I would highly suggest him to anyone looking for his services.
The visit was wonderful and we left feeling encouraged BUT when we needed an Rx that could not be refilled by the pharmacy, despite numerous calls/messages for over a week, we never heard back!
Garbage. Pure garbage. Their voice mail clearly states 24 hour call back; forget about it. They don't care. I called and left a thorough message with name, number and birthdate, repeated the info and no return call. Called their answering service and left another thorough message and was told I should follow up my message with a phone call the following day. He is the absolute BEST in his field. Got to the bottom of my GI problem immediately, prescribing the correct medicine to heal my liver issue, making me well when I had almost given up on finding the treatment that would heal me. He is one of the many top doctors at Arch Health Medical Group I have the fortune of being treated by, truly of of my heroes at Arch!
I am torn with this post. Dr. Zakko did a test that found out the issue I have been dealing with for 10 years, however when it comes to bedside manner I would not rec. him. I had a follow up appt. after my procedure. He showed up two hours late with out my file and tried to prescribe me the medication I had already taken. He then explained that there was no point in being there as I needed to wait 6 weeks. Now after 8 calls they still have yet to reverse the charges and it has hit my credit.
Having a procedure with Dr. Zakko and working with his staff was the worst mistake in my live. I should have trusted the previous reviews from this page.
Totally dishonest and unprofessional
If possible I would leave a - review. The office staff is very dishonest. When I called I explained my insurance and told them I wanted to be sure they excepted my insurance prior to making an appointment. They assured me that they took my insurance and I would only need to pay my co-payment. About 3 months later they stated bill me $185 stating they were not on my insurance. Do not Trust them!! Dishonest to get patients they are desperate is what it appears to me!! Run do not walk run fast!!
