I worked with Matt Tonkin on securing my FHA mortgage. It was an extensive process. Matt and others at Maple Tree Funding were always there to take my calls, consistently answered by emails and texts in a timely manner and were always polite and professional. I wouldn't think twice about working with Matt Tonkin again.
It's unfortunate that my wife and I were fed a bunch of lies. As a veteran I was told they'd work with us. Yes we had credit concerns but they were cleaned up quickly. Mr. Tonkin rarely talked with us. When he did he was kinda condescending. It's hard to trust anyone while going through this process. It's harder to trust people when they don't return emails or phone calls. It's been well over a solid two weeks now since any contact from anyone within the company.
