Dr. Kuraishi seems to know a lot. He seems to be a nerd about medicine, which I obviously can't complain about. One thing to watch out for though is the wait times are very long. I believe it is due to him also working at the hopsital. He seems to love medicine.
He has been my doctor since he moved here in the early 80s. I trust him and he knows his patients as individuals. He always takes care and the proper time if I have a problem. Today was just a general physical
Like another reviewer, I wish I could fly back to L.A. to see Dr. Kuraishi! My then new husband introduced me to him. When I became sick with a chronic “mystery” disease, he diagnosed me correctly very quickly and got me to the foremost specialist ASAP. That was over 20 years ago and his first diagnosis was correct. A very patient, bright Doctor. I've trusted him with my life more than once -- and, I'm still here! He is well trained and very savvy -- he is prompt in his response to crucial phone calls. I highly respect him in every way.
He is very personable so I was very happy at first. I will only say this, please make sure you always get copies of your lab results from not only this doctor but all doctors. I am over 55 and therefore have seen more than one doctor over the years but I have never had any doctor completely ignore abnormal lab results like he has. I moved away from CA in 2014 and have compared all of my doctors since then to Dr. Kuraishi. I really miss him. Long wait times, yes, but he never rushed with any office visits once he got in the room. If I were rich, I'd fly to LA just to have an annual checkup so he can tell me what's what.
Exceptional. He waited for me to get a toe xray one day. I was the only patient in the office. He was unflustered and unhurried. Always a good friend.
