I highly recommend Mansoor Fine Jewelers in Palo Alto. They have a beautiful and unique selection at many price points, and they also provide excellent service for repairs. They can also create custom and replacement jewelry. For example, I lost a pearl drop earring once, and they recreated it perfectly from its paired earring.
