Doctor Punwani is the best psychiatrist my family has ever worked with to help a loved one effectively deal with a severe case of OCD. We’ve been trying to get help from other mental healthcare professionals for decades, but no one has been able to make progress the way Dr. P. has. She is kind, empathetic, genuine, and has a great sense of humor. She’s truly a wonderful provider who deeply cares about her patients and works very hard to ensure success in their treatment. I highly recommend her.
We began seeing Dr. Punwani after adopting two older children who came to us with significant trauma. That trauma also created a great deal of secondary trauma for our entire family, and Dr. Punwani has been an incredible guide through it. I've been seeing Dr. Punwani for over 10 years now. She helped me through some of the darkest moments of my life, and has continued to support and guide me as I've grown and healed. I truthfully don't know where I would be without her.
While she is warm and well-meaning, Dr. Punwani promised more than she could deliver and was disorganized, to our deteriment. There were multiple times when she did not respond to email within her promised time frame and where she incorrectly claimed to have ordered tests. We were lucky an outside doctor would help us with an urgent matter when Dr. Punwani would not even answer our email. We did get self-promotional emails, such as one asking for positive reviews of her self-published book.
Kind, thoughtful, intuitive, engaged, organized, guided by decades of experience and a mastery of her field ~ we absolutely adore Dr. Punwani. She has made such an indelible positive impact on my child’s life. Grateful to be in her care. ♥️
