DO NOT recommend this doctor as someone to see for an eating disorder. She is condescending with very poor bedside manners that are have a negative effect on the patient. Quite frankly, she is a bully and should not be working in a field that deals with such emotionally fragile patients.

Dr.Manfred is a breath of fresh air ! She takes her time and makes you feel heard, which is hard to find in today’s healthcare. She is thorough and truly cares. You can tell she loves what she does. Even as a newer patient (two physicals ,)I feel she has been my doctor for years.
I've been a patient of Dr. Manfred's for a short time, I chose her based on a referral. I'm so glad I found her she has truly been a god send for me personally. Her knowledge of Medicine coupled with her compassionate (bedside manner) is why I feel blessed to be her patient. In my opinion she's the most experienced, considerate, patient, Doctor I've come across in my time her in Charleston. 5 🌟's! The epitome of what a DOCTOR should represent.
I just wanted to say how thankful I am for Dr. Manfred's thoughtful care back in the early to mid-2000s when she first identified my genetic tendencies and began my preventive treatments for pre-diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors. While I did progress to a full diabetic status, I largely managed it well with the help of Dr. Manfred and other good PCPs and a fine endocrinologist at UMassMemorial.
