10/10 stars! Mandarin Lotus is hands down the best Chinese food. The colossal shrimp and soft shell crab dishes are two of our favorites, but we love everything on their menu. One of the best parts of coming here is letting Kim recommend what to order. Trust her! She always gets us to try something new that we probably wouldn’t have chosen ourselves, and somehow it ends up being incredible and completely unexpected. Loved our experience at Mandarin Lotus! So many vegan options to choose from and everything we tried was really flavorful. You can tell they put a lot of care into making the food, which made it even better. Kim was super sweet and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Great food, great people, and just an overall good experience. Definitely coming back!
We had just wrapped up a drive from AZ to CA, and I was craving Chinese food. We looked on Google and Mandarin Lotus came up. We went in and Kim (one of the owners) gave us suggestions on what to order..especially the green beans, and they were amazing. It’s a tiny place tucked into a strip mall in Agoura Hills. The food is delicious and the Kim makes everyone feel welcome,
MISLEADING MENU PRICES!! Every single item we ordered was at least $5 more than the listed price. The owner only admitted to the up-charge after we caught the discrepancies on our receipt at the end of our meal. She then tried to justify that rent, labor etc is expensive and she needs to upcharge to afford the business! Mandatory 15% gratuity for 2 people, not listed anywhere. No water provided, only bottled water. Owner repeatedly complimenting her own food in the name of “service”, very terribly annoying. Avoid this place
