Mamma Dos is a great breakfast café in downtown Washington, D.C., and an excellent alternative to the more expensive hotel restaurants nearby. The menu offers a solid selection of breakfast favorites at very reasonable prices. During my visit, I ordered a bagel, an omelet, orange juice, and coffee, and it was exactly what I was looking for to start the day. Place looks nice was excited to try the food but only ordered the ham and Swiss on croissant. The croissant was hot and flaky which was perfect but as soon as I took a bite I could literally feel the ham super cold. I was already walking g to my destination so I couldn’t go back. Wasn’t worth the 8 dollars
Today I stopped by the café and would like to recognize the young woman who helped me. She was incredibly kind, sweet, patient, and professional. She took the time to listen and helped me choose something that I would truly enjoy. She recommended the Nutella Latte, and I absolutely loved it. Stayed at The Eaton in May 2026 and found this place for breakfast. The food was excellent. We loved the almond croissants and the breakfast burritos. Coffee was great. It became a favorite for us and we went back every morning we were in town. The women working were extremely nice!
