I wouldn't go. All the raves just weren't true The service was good, The food quality was mediocre, to begin the slasa and chips really sucked, it some sort of seafoam green color that is obviously not real salsa, and the green salsa was some week form of smashed tomatoes. The price was ok, i guess considering the price about $10 a plate. It has an Ok decor, but not really authentic or anything near, it Its not Mexican, its some cheaper form of TexMex
Mamacitas We happened on Mamacitas by accident while visiting San Marcos - but we were very pleased. Their food was great and the service was also. It was very busy but they handled it well.
Mamacita's Restaurant is best! Great fajitas and margaritas. The prices are reasonable and the service is usually fast and friendly. The guacamole is the best around.
Enchiladas recommended Love this place. Good chips and table sauces followed by a great meal. Good enchilada choices and some American choices, too.
Mmmm, fajitas I've been going to Mamacitas for several years, and will sometimes drive there (40 minutes from my house) just to eat! They make their own tortillas and everyones loves the "green sauce." They also have very cute waiters which is a big bonus for me. I usually get the fajitas. They even have vegetarian fajitas made of mushrooms. They have dessert to die for also but I am always too full to eat any.
