Good pizza. The best??? – I'll won't dwell on the negatives about the space others have brought up. Yes, the 2 person tables against the wall are not for the claustrophobic or large of build. We purposely went at lunch due to the other reviews. The thing that ticked me off the most was, no soap in the bathrooms, just a half hour after opening. Don't they service it overnight? Second worst pizza I've ever had – We went to Mama Santa's because so many people in CLE seem to think it's "the" place for Italian/pizza. I can't imagine ever going back. 1. Service was incredibly slow although they weren't busy. However, we weren't in a hurry and just relaxed and enjoyed a beer while we waited. No problem so far. 2. Poor Customer Service – Although known for their relatively inexpensive prices, Mama Santa's is not the place to go if you are use to decent customer service. I have gone to Mama Santa's on several different occasions, and the sevice is consistently poor. First of all, Little Italy doesn't quite accomodate those who drive, thus parking is always a hassle. Cheap eats Mama Santa is definitely a good value. The prices are cheap and the food is decent. The previous poster called it a "small and intimate" restaurant, but really it would be more accurate to call it "cramped and cave-like." The tables are packed tightly together and there are no windows. But no one goes to Mama Santa for the atmosphere or service. If you go expecting cheap pizza and pasta, you won't be disappointed.
Browns or Steelers, Yankees or Red Sox, Mama Santa or Valentino's....it's one or the other! – Like the title suggests, people seem to love one or the other of these rival pizza shops in the Little Italy neighborhood. I found a pizza jewel in the Cleveland – Thank you to the fans of Mama Santa's...This visitor was craving good pizza...Got on the internet, found reviews of this place...Found the place after taking a couple of wrong turns, got lucky and got a parking space in back...Walked in and proceded to "eat silly"...I do love pizza, I was so tempted to order an Extra Large Pizza, and then take 3 more back to hotel...The crust, sauce and the service was phenomenal...If business takes me back to Cleveland, I will be back to Mama Santa's... read more
Yummy! – Mama Santa's is, by far, my favorite restaurant. When I read the negative reviews I just don't understand. It's true italian food and it's a great value too. I don't get down to Little Italy very often, but when I do you can bet you'll find me at Mama Santa's!
