good pizza I used to love it, now I can't eat it. Very good pizza, but now I find it too greasy and too thin. Very cheap, though, so you definitely get your money's worth.
Best Italian My husband and I love to visit the Little Italy section of Cleveland, and Mama Santa's is a must stop for us each time. The restaurant is small and intimate, everything is excellent right down to the warm bread at the beginning of each meal! The food is wonderful, the staff is always friendly and quick with service, the prices are very reasonable. Mama Santa's is a great value for your money! Highly Recommended! Jonathan When this thing came to my table, I must admit I wasn't very impressed with the way it looked, and I really wasn't expecting it to taste any better. By my second bite, I was hooked. I sat there and ate 6 pieces because I simply could not stop. I have had authentic New York Sicilian pizza and this is the next best (if not better) thing!
Great night in Little Italy Mama Santa's located in Little Italy in Cleveland is always busy for a reason - the pizza is excellent, the pasta is wonderful, and the prices can't be beat. They do a huge carry-out business, particularaly when the Browns or Ohio State has a big game, so I don't recommend dining in during those times (we did once during a huge OSU game and waited an hour for our pizza). PROS: food; price CONS: slow service during busy carry-out times
Cheap eats Mama Santa is definitely a good value. The prices are cheap and the food is decent. The previous poster called it a "small and intimate" restaurant, but really it would be more accurate to call it "cramped and cave-like." The tables are packed tightly together and there are no windows. But no one goes to Mama Santa for the atmosphere or service. If you go expecting cheap pizza and pasta, you won't be disappointed.
Miss you Mama Santa! I'm originally from Cleveland but now live in Palm Springs, Ca. There is not one place that has homemade and authentic tasting pizza here in Palm Springs like Mama Santa's. I am forever dreaming of the pizza from there and everytime I return home I must have it!
Don't understand why this place gets so much talk about how good it is. I've been there numerous times for pizza, spaghetti and lasagna, always hoping they will finally live up to their reputation. Always disappointed. Pizza is mediocre at best, spaghetti less than mediocre and the lasagna pathetic. Food for take-out seems to always take 20 minutes longer than quoted...if its going to take 45-50 minutes, don't tell me 25-30! No décor but that's okay for a cheap Italian "restaurant", but at least try to keep it clean...

This is a great little Italian family restaurant in Little Italy. The pizza is delicious without being overly expensive and the eat-in experience is perfectly homey so you can bring the kids along without worrying about disturbing anyone. I only wish there were a dedicated ‘pick-up’ parking area since Little Italy is notoriously packed with cars and people who are similarly looking for delicious foods.
