Hmmm. We split an order of borscht with mushroom, then we split the potato pancakes with meat, as well as an order of assorted flour dumplings, both served with sour cream. We also had desserts of the seven layer “cake” and the Lazy Pie, which was more like sliced cookies. I wanted to love it, especially since the potato pancakes had the lovely crispy texture of a McDonalds hash brown, but the serving felt so...unadorned. Our new favorite restaurant! Delicious food that is soulful, flavorful, and clearly cooked with love! The beer is delicious and they have a little beer garden in the back. The service is friendly and responsive. It's like yummy homecooking from your grandma taken to another level. Can't wait to go back! We went last weekend and today, ordering half portions so we could try many things! Loved everything!
