So delicious. I love their cinnamon roll french toast and the hash browns are the best I've ever had. The only problem is that I'm afraid my husband of sixteen years is going to leave me for the breakfast burrito. He's definitely in love. �

I am local San Marcos resident. My husband and I eat there regularly, at least once a week. The food is consistently good and served hot, no matter what you order. The wait times can be long, but anything great is worth waiting for. They have recently put in a gift shop and lounge where you can shop and get a coffee or tea while waiting. Have patience and don't be starving in case the wait is long, but definitely bring your appetite as the portions are big!! I love the food and the ppl. That work there. They are family. Seriously the best Chicken Fried Steak in the world! Everything is scratch made and you can taste it. So good! Plus got some Christmas shopping done in the cute store attached
Mama Kat's is the finest breakfast/lunch/coffee shop restaurant in the county. Period! The food is great. The staff is friendly and efficient. The owners are some of the hardest working people I've ever met. Weekends can be tough if you're in a hurry, but why hurry? Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and try it. You'll become a believer.
