I’ve cooked on every kind of grill/smoker/egg/pit/etc and I can say without reservation that my MAK 2 Star General is by far the best. I’ve been known to tell people who are asking how in the world do I serve such awesome brisket/ribs/butt/chicken/etc that this grill is like cheating! I've been cooking on pellet grills since 1990. I spent 22 years in the pellet grill industry. Of all of the pellet grills on the market, MAK has led the industry with innovative features--that the other companies copy. MAK grills are the most well thought out grills on the market. They are extremely well built using AMERICAN MADE steel, components, etc. Their customer service is legendary. Quality is not inexpensive. But it is worth it.

I bought a Mak 2 star about 8 years ago after owning 3 other pellet cookers. The Mak is the best engineered and best performing cooker by far. Mine has only needed random cleaning and a whole lot of pellets, never a broken part. I'm hoping to get a 3 star built in next and will donate my 2 star to my b-i-l to replace his green egg.
Outstanding follow up! With you every step of the way! Or in my case quite a few steps since I called and emailed so many times with many questions! I bought my One Star over 3 years ago and have used it exclusively for both grilling and smoking. From brisket to chicken wings it always delivers. I recently needed some replacement parts and a firmware upgrade. Their great staff not only addressed all my concerns but followed up repeatedly to ensure I was appropriately satisfied. Great grill, great employees and American made is a winning combination in my book.
I love my MAK 2 Star! These grills are rock solid and high quality. The customer service from MAK is outstanding as well. Not many companies actually care about the customer these days... MAK does.
